(Boise, ID) – Ada County Elections is experiencing unexpected delays in the delivery of absentee ballots mailed to voters. As a result, Ada County urges voters who have recently requested an absentee ballot, but have not yet received one, to vote at one of the three early voting locations or at their local polling place on Election Day.

Changes in the processing of mailed absentee ballots have resulted in an increase in the length of time it takes for a ballot to reach voters. Ada County is working with the U.S. Postal Service to look into the delays and resolve any issues. However, with the November 3rd election less than a week away, Ada County wants to ensure that voters do not miss an opportunity to cast their ballot and is therefore encouraging use of early or Election Day voting.

Ada County Early Voting Locations: (Open 8am – 5pm thru Friday Oct 30th)

Meridian City Hall – 33 E Broadway Ave, Meridian, ID 83642

Ada County Indigent Services Building – 252 E Front St, Suite 199, Boise, ID 83702

(East of the Ada County Courthouse, between Avenue A and Broadway, free parking available)

Ada County Elections – 400 Benjamin Ln, Suite 100, Boise, ID 83704

Any voter who has not mailed back a voted ballot may vote at any one of the early voting locations this week or at their regular polling place on Election Day. Voters with absentee ballots are encouraged not to wait and to return their absentee ballots as soon as possible. Absentee ballots may be returned by mail or by dropping their voted ballot off at any of the early voting locations. All absentee ballots must be received at the elections office by 8pm on Election Day, Nov. 3rd
